EDUCATIONAL TOUR FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM WORLDSKILLS RUSSIA

On March 26, Moscow Cargo, LLC together with Renus Air, LLC, the Russian division of the German logistics group RHENUS responsible for airfreight transportations, organized an educational tour for representatives of the WorldSkills Russia national team.

The movement WorldSkills International (WSI) aims to popularize labor professions and improve the quality of professional training through international competitions according to WorldSkills standards around the world. The WSI hosts a world championship every two years, also known as the "Workers' Olympics".

Russia officially joined the movement in 2012, becoming the 60th member country of the WSI. It should be noted that if according to the results of the 2013 World Championship, which became the first for Russia as a participant, our team took the last place without taking a single medal, then at the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 championship, which was held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian national team secured the second place both in the team and in the medal standings. It is noteworthy that one of the medals was won by a team in the Freight Forwarding section.

The visit to the Moscow Cargo terminal took place as a preparation of the Russian team for the upcoming 46th World Championship in professional skills, which is scheduled for October 2022 in Shanghai.

The team members were accompanied by the international WorldSkills Russia expert in the Freight Forwarding section Ivko Yulia. At her request, the Moscow Cargo staff demonstrated in detail the freight handling process at the terminal, paying special attention to the rules for documenting international airfreight transportation, the procedure for the terminal's interaction with customs authorities and other participants in the logistics chain, issues of ensuring the safety of cargo, as well as aspects of customer service. 

The participants of the tour were delighted with the high level of technical equipment of the terminal, the quality of the organization of production processes and the professionalism of the Moscow Cargo team.

We hope that the practical knowledge acquired during the tour will help the Russian national team once again confirm the world leadership of our country in international competitions in professional skills.
