From February 24 to March 3, a large-scale industry event—the Strategic Session on Updating Russia's Transport Strategy—is taking place at the Russian University of Transport.
Each day of the session is dedicated to a specific sector, including:

-
Railway transport and road freight transportation;
-
Air transport;
-
Maritime and inland waterway transport;
-
Highways and border crossing points;
-
Logistics, digital platforms, and solutions;
-
Specialized education.
On February 26, the session was dedicated to air transportation, addressing key topics such as route networks, aircraft fleets, infrastructure at both federal and regional airports, and the development of passenger and cargo traffic. The session brought together representatives from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, as well as airlines including Aeroflot and Nordwind Airlines, and major international airports Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, and Pulkovo. At the invitation of the organizers, Elena Ermakova, Deputy General Director for Commercial Affairs at Moscow Cargo LLC, participated as an expert on air cargo transportation.

The outcomes of the session will lay the groundwork for the industry's strategic planning through 2050, shaping the trajectory of passenger transportation, cargo logistics, infrastructure, digitalization, and transport education.
