MOSCOW CARGO LLC REPRESENTATIVES ATTEND RECEPTION AT CHINESE EMBASSY ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
23/03/2026
At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Zhang Hanhui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation, and his spouse Ms. Gao Yan, representatives of Moscow Cargo LLC attended a ceremonial reception at the Chinese Embassy in Moscow, held in honor of International Women's Day.
In his welcoming address, Ambassador Zhang Hanhui emphasized the distinctive role of women in contemporary society and, in particular, in the development of Russian-Chinese relations: "Women from both countries make an invaluable contribution to the advancement of Chinese-Russian ties. Representatives of a wide range of professions work tirelessly for the benefit of friendship between our nations. They are the invisible yet strong threads that bind our countries together, opening new horizons for fruitful dialogue and mutually beneficial partnership."

Ms. Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Center, also delivered a speech, in which she underscored the importance of cross-cultural understanding as the foundation for successful cooperation.
The reception featured a cultural program, including a photo exhibition dedicated to prominent Chinese women — athletes, scientists, inventors, and cultural figures. Guests also enjoyed traditional songs and instrumental performances from both countries. A raffle of valuable prizes was held during the buffet reception. Notably, the lucky ticket for one of the Moscow Cargo representatives was drawn by Ms. Gao Yan, the Ambassador's spouse, and Ms. Svetlana Akulova, Director General of the Moscow Zoo.

The evening concluded with the presentation of commemorative gifts to all guests.

Interesting fact: in China International Women's Day is celebrated, though not as widely as in Russia. It is not a public holiday; however, women are entitled to a shortened working day. As for gifts, they are typically given only to elder women, and usually take the form of small souvenirs or potted flowers — as it is not customary in China to give bouquets of cut flowers.
