MOSCOW CARGO LLC GOT SUCCESSFULLY AUDITED BY IATA FOR ISAGO SAFETY STANDARDS
23/08/2021
Moscow Cargo LLC has once again confirmed its compliance with the international standards and recommended practices of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for ground handling safety, having successfully passed the ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) audit and renewed the certificate received in 2019.
The ISAGO standard implies strict requirements for aircraft maintenance operations and ground handling of cargo and mail, thereby being the guarantor of safety for companies that have implemented this standard in their activities.
It should be noted that the audit contains, among other things, requirements that, as a rule, are not applied in Russian regulatory documents, namely: the risk management system, the quality programme, training of personnel in the skills of working in emergency situations. Thus, obtaining ISAGO certification allows a handling operator not only to improve the quality of ground services, but also to reduce the operating costs of partner airlines by eliminating unnecessary safety checks by carriers.
Re-certification every two years gives IATA the opportunity to take into account any changes in the organization of production processes, including those dictated by the need to effectively respond to market demands. Thus, during the audit, international auditors paid special attention to the issues of providing by Moscow Cargo safe and high-quality handling of the so-called cargo-only flights - cargo charter flights operated on passenger aircraft. A new transportation format for the industry that has become relevant during the pandemic due to the increased demand for the transportation of freight shipments against the background of a sharp reduction in regular passenger flights.
Based on the audit results, IATA specialists confirmed the status of Moscow Cargo as a reliable partner for Russian and foreign airlines, guaranteeing the impeccable provision of the safety level of ground handling activities established by the ISAGO standard.
