 HISTORY


June 15, 2021Started handling cargo and mail on Armenia flights.


May 1, 2021. Became the GHA and GSA for Pobeda Airlines at Sheremetyevo Airport.


April 14, 2021. Presented for the first time the "Best partners award" based on the results of the past year. The winners were determined in 6 main and 2 special nominations, covering the key areas of the terminal's activities.


March 2021. Moscow Cargo LLC together with Renus Air LLC, the Russian division of the German logistics group RHENUS in charge of the air cargo sector, organized a training tour for representatives of the WorldSkills Russia national team.


The visit to the Moscow Cargo terminal took place as a part of preparation of the Russian team for the upcoming 46th World Championship in Professional Skills, which is scheduled to take place in October 2022 in Shanghai.


February 27, 2021. Started handling Air India flights.


February 15, 2021. Successfully passed the audit and completed the terminal validation with the status of RA3 - Regulated Agent third country.


 February 1-2, 2021. Within the framework of the ICAO-IAC project "Improving flight safety and maintaining airworthiness standarts in the States Parties to the Agreement" on the basis of the headquarters of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), Moscow Cargo LLC made a presentation at an online seminar "Preparation and implementation of a plan to ensure the air delivery of vaccines against coronavirus."


Experts discussed aviation security and vaccine delivery formalities simplification, ICAO regulations, airport and airline readiness to handle different types of vaccines, and collaboration on digitalizing delivery chains in support of the UN response to COVID-19.


January 2021. Took part in the World Cargo Summit 2021 International Conference. The topic of the conference was the transformation in the logistics of world air freight transportation necessary to overcome the crisis caused by the pandemic.


Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the impact of the pandemic on the aviation business, the prospects for the development of cargo transportation, the need to expand the network of cargo routes in the face of a significant reduction in regular passenger flights, and the forecasting the business realities of the post-coronavirus era.


December 2020. Aerolíneas Argentinas chose Moscow Cargo LLC as its ground handling operator for cargo at Sheremetyevo International Airport. The first large batch of Sputnik V vaccine, weighing over 9 tonnes, intended for vaccination of doctors in Argentina. handled by the employees of the cargo terminal on December 23rd.


November 18, 2020. Handled a consignment of national importance - the world's first vaccine against coronavirus, Sputnik V, which was developed by the Russian National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Honorary Academician N.F. Gamalei.


November 2020. Representative of Moscow Cargo LLC took part in the International Online Conference "Airport of the Future".


The conference participants were interested in how the work of the largest cargo terminal in Russia had changed over the past six months, what challenges it had faced during the pandemic and what solutions had allowed Moscow Cargo to compensate for the decrease in cargo traffic caused by a significant reduction in route networks and passenger flights.


September 27, 2020. Successfully passed the audit of Nordwind airline (North Wind LLC).


September 2020. Started handling charter flights of AZUR air.


September 2020. Won the consolidated competitive procurement of cargo and mail handling services at Sheremetyevo Airport, conducted by Aeroflot PJSC.


August 2020. Representative of Moscow Cargo LLC took part in the international online forum for the development of cargo routes "NETWORK CARGO ONLINE".


Main topics of the panel discussion “Air cargo industry in a new reality. Development of cargo terminals " were market requirements for modern terminal infrastructure and the quality of handling temperature-sensitive TTSP cargo, as well as how the largest cargo terminal in Russia managed to ensure compliance with all conditions of the cold chain industry and maintain strict time standards for ground handling of pharma cargo. 


June 2020. As a part of the cargo-only program, began handling charter flights of the Emirates airline.


June, 1 2020. China Eastern Air Holding (CEAH) moved to the Moscow Cargo terminal for handling, which is one of the top 10 leading airlines in the world in terms of passenger traffic and in the top 25 in terms of cargo turnover.


May 2020. International trade magazine CAAS (Cargo Airports & Airline Services) dedicated this summer issue to the study and analysis of the activities of leading companies in the air cargo industry during the coronavirus pandemic. Among the invited experts was the First Deputy General Director - Director of Production of the Moscow Cargo Terminal.


April 2020. Summed up the results of production activity for the 1st quarter of 2020. Over the past period the company handled over 63.5 thousand tonnes of cargo and mail, demonstrating results that significantly exceeded indicators of other handling operators. Due to outstripping growth rates, the share of Moscow Cargo LLC in the total volume of freight transportation through Sheremetyevo Airport exceeded 75%.


April 2020. Started handling cargo-only charter flights operated on passenger aircrafts.


March 2020. Started handling cargo and mail on the Iranian Mahan Air flights, which moved from Vnukovo to Sheremetyevo from March 1, 2020.

 

February 2020. Began the construction of an underground pedestrian crossing over the Sheremetyevskoye Highway, which would be connected the new Moscow Cargo office center with the Cargo terminal. It would be open at the end of 2020.

 

February 2020. Russian Nordwind Airlines (Nordwind, LLC) and Pegas Fly (Ikar Airlines, LLC) included in the TOP-20 largest airlines in Russia in terms of cargo turnover, moved to Sheremetyevo Moscow Cargo terminal.


January 2020. Continues to strengthen its position as the undisputed leader among cargo aviation terminals in Russia, steadily increasing its share: in 2019, the company handled 24% of the total volume of air cargo transportation in the Russian Federation and 48.3% of the total cargo and mail turnover of the airports of the Moscow Aviation Hub.


Over the last year, Moscow Cargo terminal handled over 275 thousand tons of cargo and mail, demonstrating an increase of + 12%, which was significantly higher than both national indicators and average indicators of the global air cargo market.


December 2019. The new office center Sheremetyevo Moscow Cargo put into operation, is situated in the close proximity of Moscow Cargo terminal and the Sheremetyevo Customs.


A modern five-storey class "B +" complex with an area of 10,797 m2 for 1,018 workplaces offer tenants a full range of services that can satisfy the most demanding customers: bright spacious office premises ranging from 25 to 700 m2 with high ceilings and high-quality interior decoration, comfortable meeting rooms and an equipped conference hall, 24-hour reception and a cozy Café, as well as ground parking for 214 cars.


October 2019. Moscow Cargo in conjunction with Sheremetyevo International Airport and Sheremetyevo Customs organized a press tour on the cargo terminal devoted to the Customs Day and dedicated to the effective development of cooperation with customs authorities.


In media initiatives were aimed at reducing the time and simplifying the procedure for customs clearance of eCommerce goods, the lion's share of which is made up of consumer purchases in foreign online stores. The SVH-Express project, which enjoyed growing demand among leading courier companies got sort of interest. The validity and relevance of the project, initiated by Moscow Cargo in May 2018, was confirmed by the beginning of active cooperation with Boxberry.

 

October 2019. The organizers of the 8th International Conference Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2019, traditionally held in Baku, invited Moscow Cargo, LLC to take part as a speaker of the keynote panel discussion "New trends and achievements of air cargo transportation in the CIS countries." The presentation of Moscow Cargo representative dedicated to the special production and infrastructure solutions offered by the terminal in response to requests from customers and airlines, as well as successful experience in optimizing ground handling processes.


September 2019. A representative of Moscow Cargo, LLC made a presentation at the 10th International Conference "Airport of the Future 2019" as part of a keynote panel discussion on ground handling issues at Russian airports. The session participants were especially interested in the experience of the largest Russian cargo terminal in terms of improving service standards and optimizing interaction with customers and airlines.


July 2019. Demonstrated the compliance of ground handling procedures for air cargo with ISAGO safety standards (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations), had passed the audit of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) without any comment. The received ISAGO certificate confirms the status of Moscow Cargo, LLC as a reliable partner in the field of ground handling of cargo transportation.


July 2019. Became a laureate of the Eurasian prize in aviation marketing 2019 in the special nomination "For the launch of the most modern and high-tech cargo air terminal in the Eurasian region."


The award provides for the selection of laureates through an objective assessment of measurable criteria and quality characteristics of enterprises in terms of commercial and marketing activities. When choosing the winner of the nomination, industry experts noted that Moscow Cargo complex is the largest in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe and is not inferior to the world's leading cargo terminals in terms of technical equipment.


June 2019. Acted as an exhibitor in Air Cargo Europe 2019, were held in Munich as part of the largest international transport and logistics exhibition “transport logistic Europe”.


The booth of Moscow Cargo, LLC, which clearly confirms the dynamic and purposeful development of Sheremetyevo Airport as an international cargo hub, attracts great interest from airlines, agents and forwarders. The scale and efficiency of airport's cargo infrastructure modernization are highly appreciated by exhibitors and visitors.


April 2019. Belavia Airlines resumed regular flights to Sheremetyevo International Airport. Moscow Cargo terminal became the operator for ground handling of cargo and mail transportation on Belavia flights.


April 17, 2019. А business event devoted to the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation in air cargo transportation was held at Sheremetyevo International Airport. The organizers were Sheremetyevo International Airport, JSC and Moscow Cargo, LLC with the active support of the the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation .


Among the participants there were Deputy Director of the Department of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, representative of the Chinese Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the Chinese Chamber of International Trade in the Russian Federation, President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as top managers of Chinese airlines and leading importers from China.


March 2019. Within the framework of the 14th international exhibition and conference in the field of maintenance and repair of aviation equipment " International MRO Russia & CIS 2019", Moscow Cargo in conjunction with Kuehne+Nagel presented the capabilities of the cargo terminal for handling aircraft engines at the Sheremetyevo International Airport.


March 2019. Moscow Cargo, in conjunction with Sheremetyevo Customs, organized the placement of the customs post of actual control on the Moscow Cargo terminal territory, which performs the functions of customs inspection, servicing individuals and courier cargo.


This solution creates additional benefits, primarily for express carriers servicing the growing flow of cross-border departures. Unitrade Company became another partner that has assessed the prospects of the SVH-Express project initiated by Moscow Cargo in 2018.


February 2019. Began the construction of a new office center for Moscow Cargo, intended for company employees and tenants from among customers and airlines. The office center, which will be located in the close proximity of Sheremetyevo Moscow Cargo terminal and Sheremetyevo Customs building, is planned for completion by the end of the year.


January 2019. Summed up the results of productive activity for 2018, which culminated for Moscow Cargo, LLC with a stable growth in all areas of activity. Over the past year, Moscow Cargo terminal handled more than 210 thousand tons of cargo and 33 thousand tons of mail, maintaining the positive dynamics of the company's development.


December 2018. Launched cooperative «EMC Express» project aimed at improving the mail transportation technology in close collaboration with Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Post and Aeroflot, PJSC.


The main benefit of the new service is reducing the duration of delivery for mail items to 2 hours before flight departure. The project covers 12 internal directions: Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Saratov, Barnaul, Astrakhan, Nizhnevartovsk, Belgorod, Orenburg, Magnitogorsk.


October 2018. Started handle cargo and mail on Rossiya Airlines flights at Sheremetyevo International Airport.


September 2018. The organizers of the 10th International Air Cargo Handling Conference, which hosted in Brussels, invited Moscow Cargo, LLC to take part as a speaker of the keynote panel discussion dedicated to the development of airport cargo infrastructure.


The conference participants were interested in the results of a large-scale modernization of the cargo infrastructure of Sheremetyevo airport, the impact of investments on the growth of freight traffic and attracting new customers and airlines.


September 2018. By resolution of the Aeroflot, PJSC. Tender Committee dated 13.09.2018 recognized Moscow Cargo, LLC. as the winner of the consolidated competitive procurement of cargo handling services for Aeroflot, PJSC. and its subsidiary Russia Airline, JSC. at Sheremetyevo International Airport. The Tender Committee approved the conclusion of an agreement with Moscow Cargo, LLC. for a period of two years.


March 2018. Focusing on the active development of international Internet commerce and the increase in the volume of cross-border shipments, Moscow Cargo, LLC is implementing the SVH-Express project, which provides a package of special infrastructure solutions for courier companies.


The express carriers at Moscow Cargo terminal have specially allocated areas (about 3,000 m2) for sorting and storage, equipped workplaces for the personnel of partner companies, special conditions for storing and returning express deliveries abroad. DPD, SPSR and Pony Express were the first clients to appreciate the benefits of new project.


May 2018. Participated in Air Cargo China 2018 – the largest international exhibition in Shanghai - Transport Logistics China.


At the company booth, representatives of the professional community and visitors familiarised themselves with the performance capabilities of the new Sheremetyevo cargo terminal MOSCOW CARGO. It is equipped with a high-tech automated system for cargo storage and movement, as well as with modern capacities for handling of special category goods.


May 2018. Aeroflot, PJSC. Tender Committee approved the conclusion of an agreement with Moscow Cargo, LLC. on ground handling of mail on airline flights at Sheremetyevo Airport.


February 4 and April 7, 2018. Organize events dedicated presentating the new high-tech Sheremetyevo complex Moscow Cargo, to airlines, agents and media in collaboration with Sheremetyevo International Airport, JSCO.


Official events held at the Aeroexpress and Sheraton Moscow Sheremetyevo conference halls with participation from Lödige, the Sheremetyevo customs, as well as strategic partners of Moscow Cargo, LLC. - the national carrier of the Russian Federation Aeroflot, PJSC. and the largest Russian cargo airline AirBridge Cargo.


January 2018. Handled the new terminal’s entire cargo turnover for international airlines.


December 2017. Confirmed status as a leader among Russian operators of ground-based services for air cargo and mail transportation.


In 2017, the efforts of Moscow Cargo, LLC. handled more than 240 thousand tons of cargo and mail, which amounted to 44.5% of the total cargo and mail turnover of the Moscow Aviation Hub and 21.5% of the total volume of air services in Russia.


November 2017. Transferred the entire cargo turnover of domestic airlines o the new terminal.


September 2017. Became handling cargo and mail transportation operator on Turkish AtlasGlobal Airlines.


September 2017. Accepted cargoes at the new terminal.


The terminal is equipped with modern warehouse equipment and systems unique in Russia: (1) an automated system for handling and storing goods on warehouse pallets and (2) an automated system for processing packaging facilities. High-tech equipment and production facilities for processing goods categories allow the company to provide efficient handling of all types of cargo without restrictions.


July 2017. Granted permission to commission a new cargo terminal by Federal Air Transport Agency.


June 2017. Approved by Rostekhnadzor for the new cargo terminal’s capital construction compliance with the requirements of technical regulations, design documentation including the requirements of energy efficiency and the carriage requirements of the capital construction with meters for using energy resources, and other legal acts.


2017. Completed construction of new cargo terminal MOSCOW CARGO.


The terminal has a total area of 42,300 m². Designed to handle 380 thousand tons of cargo per year. Largest cargo terminal in Russia, CIS and East Europe.


2016. Becames the leader of ground handling of cargo and mail transportation in the Moscow Aviation Hub with an annual turnover of more than 200 thousand tons.


April 2016. Started construction of a new high-tech cargo complex there are no similar cargo complexes in Russia with this type of equipment. Commissioning scheduled for the end of 2017.


August 2015.  Began to service all flights of Aeroflot at Sheremetyevo Airport.


April 2015. Won lots on Cargo Handling International Flights of Aeroflot, and Cargo Service on Domestic Flights of Aeroflot, OJSC., as a part of the tender by Aeroflot-Russian Airlines, OJSC. for the provision of cargo handling services on Aeroflot flights at Sheremetyevo.


November 26, 2014. Changed Company business name to Moscow Cargo, LLC. 


2014. Built modernly equipped temporary storage warehouse with an area of 11,700 m³ and a cargo turnover of over 100 thousand tons per year. Served over 5,000 flights of major air-carriers per month.


2010.
Provided full cycle of ground handling services for all types of aircraft. Served 90 thousand tons in cargo turnover on 40 thousand flights.  


2005. Handled 54.4 thousand tons of cargo through 28.6 thousand flights.


1995. Provides ground services for 3.3 thousand flights by Aeroflot, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Polar Air, SAS, Egypt Air, Corsar, Krasnoyarsk Airlines. Turned over 16.5 thousand tons of cargo.


1992. Completed construction of AIRPORT MOSCOW cargo centre. Performs ground handling services to the regular Aeroflot Moscow-Singapore flights. 


1991. Designed the first phase of the cargo centre to handle 22 thousand tons of cargo per year and built the administrative building of the cargo centre.


December 21, 1990. Established the Russian-German joint venture AEROPORT MOSCOW.
