MOSCOW CARGO, LLC COMPLETED TAPA FSR 2020 CERTIFICATION

Moscow Cargo, the GHA of Sheremetyevo International Airport, has successfully completed the certification according to the international safety standard TAPA FSR 2020.

Certification of the Moscow Cargo terminal serves as a proof of compliance with international safety standards during the transportation and storage of high-value cargo (works of art, pharmaceuticals, high-tech equipment, electronics, etc.).

In 2021, more than 1,800 tonnes of shipments of the VAL (valuable cargo) and VUN (vulnerable cargo) categories were handled by the Moscow Cargo terminal, which is 41.7% higher than in 2020 and 16.1% higher than the pre-pandemic period, indicating positive dynamics in the volume of valuable cargo turnover.

During the audit of Moscow Cargo, LLC special attention was paid to the qualification of personnel and the organization of alarm and video monitoring systems, consisting of more than 700 day / night vision cameras. The video monitoring system provides round-the-clock total monitoring of the cargo handling process.

The security systems of the terminal perimeter were also thoroughly checked: the access control system (ACS) to storage areas and the gas fire extinguishing system, which play an important role in creating the necessary security conditions for storing valuable cargo.

The successful completion of the TAPA FSR certification by Moscow Cargo, LLC opens up additional opportunities to attract demanding customers who pay special attention to compliance with the necessary safety standards when handling valuable and vulnerable cargo.

The main objective of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) is to bring together global manufacturers, logistics service providers, freight carriers and other concerned parties in order to reduce losses in international supply chains. The new TAPA FSR 2020 standard (Facility Security Requirements, edition 2020) includes a comprehensive audit, which involves checking all security systems for compliance with international standards.
